The Association of Czech Buildings Savings Banks in the Czech Republic (ACSS or AČSS) comprises five buildings savings banks (buildings societies, Bausparkassen). It was founded on June 29, 2000, to support the joint interests of the buildings savings banks operating in the Czech Republic. ACSS concentrates primarily on the creation of favorable conditions for meeting the housing needs of citizens through cooperation, leading to the support and development of buildings savings and the extension of the offer of financial instruments.

Building Savings in 2021

The Yearbook for 2021 is available in two languages (EN, CZ) here. For building savings banks, the year 2021 was clearly marked by records across all institutions. Clients invested almost 110 billion crowns in the purchase and improvement of their housing. This result was strongly influenced not only by the second year of the global pandemic, which...
Building savings banks provided 68,071 new loans for a total value of CZK 109.8 billion. The average amount of loans thus slightly exceeded CZK 1.6 million. People concluded 520,387 new building savings contracts.

New Chairman and Deputies Elected

The Presidium of the Association elected new Chairman and Deputies at its meeting. Libor Vošický became the chairman. The members elected Michael Pupala as the first vice-chairman of the AČSS and Petr Toman is the vice-chairman. The entire structure of the association can be viewed in the appropriate section.

Building Savings in 2020

The Yearbook for 2020 is available in two languages (EN, CZ) here. The year 2020 was marked with the global coronavirus pandemic, which has had a severe impact on our lives. Although we had to reduce interpersonal contacts, which are at the core of our work, adapt the way the companies operate and transfer employees to home office, the building societies achieved excellent results.
Building savings banks provided 55,005 new loans for a total value of CZK 65.4 billion. The average amount of loans thus reached almost CZK 1.2 million. People concluded 519,696 new building savings contracts.
